Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science

The psychological science major requires nine courses and offers broad knowledge across social, cognitive, developmental, and clinical areas. You’ll learn the basic methods of inquiry in the field of psychology and have the option to choose the areas you’d like to pursue. This major allows you to seek additional coursework in psychology and/or expand into related areas (education, sociology, foreign language, art) with a minor or second major.

As a student in the psychological science major, you’ll engage in hands-on learning experiences that add a real-world dimension to your education—preparing you to join the workforce or pursue graduate education in psychology and other fields. Active learning opportunities include internships, research assistant work, and one-on-one research or explorative study with faculty members.
