Residence Life & On-Campus Housing

Nearly 1,100 students reside on campus at 91porn原创. First-year students live in traditional-style halls: Rau-Hassler and Bernhardt-Wilhelm (exclusively for first-year students), located on the Main Street Campus, and Main and Clewell Halls, located on the Hurd Campus in historic downtown Bethlehem. First-year students can also reside in a single room in the HILL on the Hurd Campus. Learn more about first-year residence options here.

Traditional residence halls include a lounge, kitchenette, and each floor has community bathrooms. The HILL suites include a full kitchen, living room, and shared bathroom(s). Shared spaces are cleaned by 91porn原创 staff.

Consider bringing:

  • flip-flops for the shower
  • bathrobe
  • hangers
  • laundry bag and detergent
  • plastic shower caddy
  • bath towels
  • toiletries (shampoo and soap)
  • anything else you use on a daily basis

Other items to keep in mind:

  • Each residence hall has a laundry room with coinless laundry. In other words, leave your quarters at home because your housing fee includes laundry costs!
  • Residence hall bedrooms include a bed, mattress, desk, desk chair, wardrobe/dresser for each student.
  • Microfridges are provided for roommates to share in Bernhardt-Wilhelm, Main & Clewell, and Rau-Hassler.
  • Mattresses are a twin XL in Bernhardt-Wilhelm, Rau-Hassler, Clewell, and the HILL. Main Hall has standard twin mattresses.
  • Bernhardt-Wilhelm, Rau-Hassler, and the HILL have air-conditioning.
  • Students should reach out to their roommate to identify who plans to bring what, including cleaning supplies, as students are responsible for cleaning their bedroom spaces.

Each bed has at least 5 inches of space underneath for storage. Information regarding room dimensions can be found hereCinder blocks are permitted, but not encouraged as they may cause damage to the floor or furniture, which residents will be charged for at the conclusion of the year. Residents will also be charged when they vacate the space if cinder blocks are not properly removed and discarded.

91porn原创 does not insure student's personal belongings in the residence halls. We encourage students and their families to check coverage options under their families鈥 homeowner鈥檚 insurance.

Refer to the Residence Life & Housing Policies section of the 91porn原创 University Student Handbook for a complete list of items that are prohibited in the residence halls.

Roommates & Housing Assignments

New students should complete the Student Life Questionnaire and Emergency Contact Form before Friday, June 21. Room and roommate assignments are determined based on responses to the Student Life Questionnaire. If incoming students wish to request a specific roommate, both individuals should indicate this preference in their Student Life Questionnaire to be considered.

Details regarding room assignments, as well as contact information for your roommate, will be available on the New Student page on AMOS before the July 4th holiday.

After receiving your room assignment, log on to the New Student page on AMOS. Prior to July 19, residents can select a room layout and specify bed preference (raised, lofted, or bunked.) Facilities will do their best to accommodate all requests received by July 19.

After housing assignments are published, there is often a desire among students and families to visit their assigned rooms. Please be aware that residence halls are not available for visits during the summer months due to conferences, camps, and facilities improvements.

Student Mail and Packages

Personal mail and packages can be sent to you while you are a student. New students can learn their box number in AMOS by navigating to College Students > My Mailbox. Once you receive that information, we encourage you to have your mail sent to the following address:

Move-In Day

Move-In Day is an exciting time for new students and their families. Please bring no more than two individuals to assist. Encourage other family members to remain at home.

When you arrive, you will be directed through the University entryway at the intersection of Main and West Locust Streets. Follow the road and arrive at the check-in tent.

For a successful move-in, mark all containers, boxes and bags with your first and last name, as well as building and room number. This will assist volunteers who are carrying items from the car to your new home.

Those participating in an early arrival group including fall athletics, marching band, Guiding Greyhounds, or the 1742 Experience will receive information regarding the check-in process from their coach or director.

Residence Life Staff

Each floor has a Resident Advisor (RA) who is an upperclass student with various roles such as building community, providing support, serving as a resource for those with questions, and enforcing University and residence hall policies. Your RA will guide you with on campus expectations but we also recommend reviewing the 91porn原创 Student Handbook before moving in. campus.

Students may choose to change to the Hound 200 or upgrade to the "Gold Unlimited" meal plan. As the semester progresses, students may add Hound Bucks or reload with a "rechargeable block". Learn more about these options here.

Commuter students can choose from the available meal plans based on their eating needs while on campus. A meal plan can also be added during the semester. Learn more or select a meal plan
