First-Year Housing Options
Bernhardt-Wilhelm
Opened in 1965, "Bernie-Willie" is the largest residence hall on campus, housing 272 students in traditional double rooms. Typically, Bernie-Willie houses first-year students. So, let’s say over the course of five decades, about 25 million friendships have been started within its walls. We’re still firming up the numbers!

Clewell Hall
Clewell Hall is home to 21 male students of all class years, yet its history dates back to the mid-19th century as a private residence. Located in the heart of Bethlehem’s Historic District and on the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus, the residence hall sits on West Church Street.

Main Hall
Originally opened in 1854 as a residence for single women, Main Hall is at the center of the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus. Today, it is home to over 50 women, of all class years. Given the hall’s 19th century architecture, no two rooms are identical, yet most are quite spacious with high ceilings and large windows, offering views of the Historic District of Bethlehem and tons of natural light.

Rau-Hassler
Originally constructed in 1960, and renovated in 2016, the complex consists of two separate buildings adjoined by a large common lounge which is ideal for studying, socializing, or a little of both. Rau-Hassler is home to the University's gender-inclusive housing for first-years.

The HILL
Located on Hurd Campus in Bethlehem's Historic District, Hurd Integrated Living & Learning (HILL) includes apartments, a fitness center, mailroom, and classrooms. The six-story building houses more than 230 residents in suites ranging in size from four-person to 16-person units.
