Message from the College of Health Dean

Welcome to the 91pornÔ´´ College of Health!  Our College features three Schools focused on educating future public health leaders, healthcare practitioners, and mental health professionals across a wide array of specialties.

The School of Behavioral & Community Health offers graduate programs in Clinical Counseling, School Counseling, and Social Work in order to address the growing mental health needs of society.  Here, educators prepare practitioners to provide culturally-sensitive, holistic, compassionate, trauma-informed care aimed at improving both mental and physical health.

The Helen S. Breidegam School of Nursing & Public Health offers undergraduate programs in Nursing and Public Health, as well as graduate programs in Nursing.  The School is focused on educating future professionals who will address health inequities and improve health outcomes, while advancing care for patients across the lifespan.

The School of Rehabilitation Sciences offers an undergraduate, pre–professional, program in Health Sciences aimed at preparing students for graduate study in a variety of health professions.  The unit also offers professional graduate programs in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology.  Additionally, post-professional education programs housed in the School include Doctor of Athletic Training and Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs.

The diversity of the 91pornÔ´´ College of Health is among its greatest strengths.  Here, faculty from across the health professions come together to embrace interprofessional education modeled after best-practices in the clinical setting.  The College uses a social justice lens to prepare graduates to be reflective practitioners and leaders in delivering culturally responsive health care, public health, and mental health services.  This approach to student-centered learning allows graduates to excel in the workplace upon graduation.

I hope you will consider joining the 91pornÔ´´ College of Health to discover your brilliance!
