Proposal Preparation

There are several questions to consider as you develop your project ideas for a grant. The Grants Office is available to help you brainstorm project and grant ideas and answer the following questions:

  • What need is your project designed to address?
    • Do you have data to support the identified need?
  • What activities will you undertake to address that need?
    • Do you have evidence (e.g., data, literature) to support those activities?
  • What are the goals and outcomes of the project?
    • How will you measure the success of the grant?
  • What data do you need to collect during the grant activities to help measure success?
    • Will you collaborate with anyone on your project?
  • What do you need to spend money on for the project to be a success?
